Draft Generation
Three steps. One schedule.

From case load to approved draft — a process that used to take 45 minutes now takes under 5.

1
Enter the Day
For each day in the 6-week period, enter the OR count and toggle which doctors are working. Doctor acuity and block patterns are already loaded — you're filling in exceptions, not starting from scratch.
2
Set Exceptions, Then Generate
Drag in vacations, sick days, and off requests before you ever hit Generate. The engine fills every remaining slot around your entries — FTE caps, charge nurse coverage, and contingent availability all handled automatically.
3
Approve & Print
When the schedule looks right, approve it. Print a clean landscape sheet ready for the board — all 6 weeks on one page, with doctor color bands intact.
Doctor-aware. Coverage-smart.

CaseFlow does more than fill slots — it understands who's in the room and what that means for your team.

🩺
Doctor Acuity
Each doctor carries a Low, Medium, or High acuity rating. When a high-acuity doctor is on the schedule, the engine automatically increases nurse coverage — no manual adjustment needed.
📅
Block Schedule Templates
Set each doctor's recurring weekly pattern once. Every new 6-week period opens with assignments already filled in, so you start from a complete picture rather than a blank grid.
🛡
Charge Nurse Coverage Logic
Primary and backup CN rules are built into the engine. Backup CN is automatically reserved for coverage capacity — she won't be over-scheduled even when demand is high.
✏️
Fully Editable Grid
The generated draft is a starting point, not a locked document. Drag to swap, click to override, and the schedule highlights every CN-touched cell in amber so you always know what changed.
